MANILA, PHILIPPINES—A new beer spot opens for local craft enthusiasts in Quezon City with Engkanto Taps Bridgetowne.
On the heels of presenting the widely successful Mabrewhay Craft Beer Festival 2026, Engkanto Brewery continues to grow the local craft community in the Philippines with the opening of Taps Bridgetowne, adjacent to the upscale Opus Mall.

It’s the first location of Engkanto Taps that will serve communities in Quezon City, near the Pasig City border, where they can enjoy pints of High Hive Honey Ale, named the World’s Best Beer in its category at the World Beer Awards 2024, Paint Me Purple Ube Lager, hailed as the Gold Medal Winner for Filipino Style at the inaugural Philippine Beer Cup, and more of Engkanto’s award-winning core beers and limited releases.
Fresh, flavorful, and exciting beer choices
A wide offering of 10 craft beers are fresh on tap, and they aim to pique the interest of beer enthusiasts looking for better choices. These include the core line-up, featuring the drinkable Live It Up Lager and the juicy Mango Nation Hazy IPA, which has gained following in the US and Australia.
Meanwhile, limited release brews and collaborations that showcase local ingredients will add more excitement to the options, with past ones including the Auro Chocolate collab Dark Heart Imperial Stout. To top these off, beer lovers can raise their glasses for Happy Hour from Monday to Thursday, from 3PM to 6PM.
As for newcomers eager to explore the world of different beer styles, Taps Bridgetowne is the best place to start with a beer flight option that allows sampling of four different beers in friendlier portions.
“Our excitement is on another level with Taps finally opening in Quezon City, one of the biggest cities here in the country. And it follows our BGC and NBS Park locations, which are turning into destinations on their own,” describes Ricard Basora, Managing Director of Engkanto.
“We had the pleasure of putting together the biggest craft beer festival in the country and by launching Taps Bridgetowne, we’re continuing to grow the local craft community. Everything
great about the craft is here, the vibe, the people, and I’ve not even included the beer-infused cocktails and dishes to pair!” Ricard adds.
Innovative infusions as signature cocktails
While local craft beers take the spotlight at Taps Bridgetowne, the drinking experience remains unique with the Taps’ signature cocktails. These innovative infusions concocted at the bar revolve around the unique flavor profile of Engkanto beers. One delicious favorite is the Sampa-Loca Highball, a mixture of the zesty Green Lava Double IPA and agave syrup. Another is Nutty & Nice-presso, a crafty twist of espresso martini that achieves a different level of creaminess from the decadent Nutty & Nice Choco-Nut Stout beer.
“Since the first Taps opened, the Engkanto team has grown more together with the craft community through sharing authentic and fantastic experiences,” says Ian Paradies, Founder of Engkanto. “This allows us to show our passion for great local beers and our skills in curating unique drinks and different dishes, which we want to replicate and even do better at Taps Bridgetowne.”
Mouthwatering bar chow and excellent grub
Filipinos can’t get enough of yummy dishes next to their beers and that’s something Michael ‘MJ’ Jordan, Brewmaster of Engkanto, appreciates a lot about the craft community in the Philippines.
“From our first ever launch of Engkanto Taps in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, I’d say the locals have found the nicest spot for beers and food,” MJ says. “The easygoing atmosphere, fun vibe with the staff, and great beers and food. It’s going to be another great place to chill and unwind for folks in Quezon City with Bridgetowne.”
Engkanto Taps Bridgetowne is located on the Ground Floor of GBF Center 1, Bridgetowne, C-5 Road and is open daily from 3PM to 2AM.
