At the core of 2b’s cocktail program is its guiding philosophy: Familiar / Not Familiar.
Each drink begins with something recognizable — a nostalgic flavor, a classic base, or an ingredient rooted in memory — and is elevated with unexpected elements, modern techniques, and surprising pairings.
The menu reflects the personal tastes and experiences of its founders, blending flavors they grew up with alongside influences from their travels around the world.

Apple & Parmesan — White rum, vanilla ice cream, sour apple liqueur, hazelnut, granny smith apple, lime, milk clarified
Corn & Miso — Tequila reposado, corn, butter, miso, agave, aromatic bitters

Founded by Three Distinct Perspectives
2b is founded by the Lao siblings, alongside a close creative partner, each bringing a unique lens to the space:
- Dhenzell Lao brings insights from years of global travel, drawing inspiration from diverse bar cultures and hospitality concepts.
- Shaydell Lao, a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, leads the culinary direction, shaping a food program that complements the bar’s elevated yet approachable identity.
- Ella Lee, a Korean-Filipino who spent her college years in Seoul, contributes a strong influence from Korea’s modern drinking culture, known for blending tradition with experimentation through unexpected flavour pairings.
Together, they’ve created a space that feels personal yet layered — where culture, memory, and experimentation come together.
Led by Craft and Curiosity
At the bar, Nico Adolfo, 2b’s bar manager, brings a dual perspective shaped by both cocktail and coffee culture. With experience from The Spirits Library and Yardstick Coffee, his approach reflects a deep appreciation for precision, balance, and flavour development across both disciplines.
This intersection of cocktails and coffee also hints at what’s ahead — with plans for 2b to expand into a daytime coffee concept in the future, further evolving the space while maintaining its core identity.
