Must-Watch K-dramas Coming Out in April

This April will be another busy month for new k-drama viewers. Here are some of the top new Korean programs and flicks set to premiere in April 2022.

Tomorrow

Based on the famous webtoon series of the same name, it tells the narrative of Choi Joon-Woong, who encounters two angels of death – Goo Ryun and Kim Ryoong-goo. Despite his illustrious history, Choi Joon Woong is unable to find work, no matter how hard he looks. However, one night, he comes into contact with two death angels, Gu Ryeon and Ryoog Gu, who attempt to prevent people from committing suicide. Directed by Kim Tae-Yoon and Sung Chi-Wook, Tomorrow will be available on Netflix on April 1, 2022.

Again, My Life

Rising prosecutor Kim Hee-woo (Lee Joon-gi) is assassinated by an unknown attacker while investigating a corrupt politician. Kim was brought back to life, however, he is given a second opportunity to make things right. Again, My Life is based on Lee Hae-online Nal’s book of the same name. In the series, Kim Ji-Eun plays Kim Hee-ah, the brilliant daughter of a multinational family, and Jung Sang-hoon plays Lee Min-soo, Kim’s close friend and valued ally. Starting in April, “Again My Life” will be broadcast on SBS every Friday and Saturday night, and will also be available to watch on Viu in certain locations.

Our Blues

Jeju Island is the ideal getaway for those looking to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, as well as the ideal home for those who have been unlucky in love and are looking for their soul mate.
This South Korean K-drama series explores the tales of its characters, all of whom are from Jeju Island. Our Blues gradually emerges as a series of standalone episodes, each focusing on one of the island’s key people, with cameo appearances from the other characters.
Lee Byung-hun, Shin Min-a, Han Ji-min, Kim Woo-bin, Cha Seung-won, and Uhm Jung-hwa are among the cast members of the K-drama. Will start on April 9,2022.

My Liberation Notes

My Liberation Notes, JTBC’s next romance drama, will kick off the spring season. Three siblings are worn down by life and want to get free of their monotonous lives. When a strange alcoholic arrives in their sleepy community, their aspirations of adventure and satisfaction get a little closer. In this new K-drama, Son Seok-Koo, Kim Ji-won from the Arthdal Chronicles, Lee El from the 2017 fantasy thriller Black, and Lee Min-ki from The Beauty Inside star. The story follows Ji-won, El, and Min-ki, three brothers who wish to get out of their dead-end lives, and how their lives are transformed when a mystery visitor called Mr. Gu (Son) arrives from out of town. My Liberation Notes premier on April 9, 2022, on Netflix.

Green Mothers’ Club

Park Tae-Joon is played by Chae Jong-Hyeop, a young guy who rekindles his enthusiasm for the sport to impress a romantic interest. Park Ju-Hyun plays Park Tae-yang, a promising Olympian who was forced to retire from badminton due to a bribery scandal. The women, all of whom have quite diverse personalities and outlooks on life, are brought together through their children’s primary school’s neighborhood organization. They discover the meaning of friendship through their shared experience of parenthood. The Green Mothers’ Club will premiere on April 6 on Netflix.

From the director of “Train to Busan” and “Hellbound,” now comes Yeon Sang-ho’s “Monstrous.”
The story of a town in Jinyang County whose residents are drawn in by a strange entity’s curse, only to be swept up in calamity after discovering a possessed statue. It stars Koo Kyo-hwan (D.P.) as Jung Ki-hoon, an eccentric archaeologist who studies unexplained occurrences and maintains an esoteric YouTube channel. Meanwhile, Hospital Playlist’s Shin Hyun-bin plays cryptanalyst Lee Soo-jin, who returns to Jinyang County following the death of her only child. Starting April 29, a new episode of Monstrous.

Yaksha: Ruthless Operations

The espionage thriller is a South Korean film led by Park Hae Soo from Squid Game in action again. Kang In, the cold-blooded chief of a clandestine NIS Operations, accepts a perilous assignment in Shenyang, China. Kang In’s biggest foe emerges in the shape of Ji Hoon, a no-nonsense prosecutor from the Seoul Central District who is willing to obey the law no matter the cost, in a city full of spies where danger lurks around every corner. Netflix will release it on April 8th, 2022.

Forecasting Love and Weather

Park Min Young, Song Kang, Yoon Park, and Kim Mi Krung star in this Kdrama series. Jin Ha Kyung, a meteorologist with the Korea Meteorological Administration, Korea’s official weather prediction service, has chosen to isolate herself from the rest of her coworkers because she likes to follow the rules and keep her personal and professional life separate. Netflix will release it on April 3rd, 2022.
