Maroon 5 Rocks Manila: TPB elevates PH tourism with world-class entertainment

MANILA, Philippines—Grammy Award-winning pop rock band Maroon 5 took the stage for an electrifying performance in a sold-out crowd at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on January 29. This landmark concert, co-presented by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines, in collaboration with Live Nation, is part of the Destination Music Festival initiative marking a significant milestone in promoting the Philippines as a premier destination for world-class entertainment.

The arena buzzed with a high-energy crowd as the band opened with its iconic hit “Animals”. Frontman Adam Levine’s captivating vocals and the band’s impeccable instrumental breaks had fans singing along to every word of favorites like “Payphone”, “She Will Be Loved”, “Memories”, and “Sugar”.

“This was more than just a concert—it was a showcase of the Philippines’ vibrant entertainment and cultural scene,” said Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles, Chief Operating Officer of the TPB. “By co-presenting Maroon 5’s concert, we reaffirm our commitment to establishing the Philippines as a global hub for music tourism. Events like this highlight our ability to host world-class performances and demonstrate how the Destination Music Festival initiative drives economic activity, fosters cultural appreciation, and elevates the country’s global recognition.”
