Manila hosts global logistics symposium this month

Philippine MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) gets a boost with Manila’s hosting of the 8th Global Symposium of Jay’s Club International Logistics Organization (JCiLO) at Hilton Manila Hotel from May 28 to 31, 2025.

Helmed by CEO and Global President Jay Linayagamage of Sri Lanka, JCiLO is a global alliance of freight forwarding companies, logistics specialists, and affiliated businesses.

With an expected attendance of more than 70 foreign and local delegates, the 8th Global Symposium of JCiLO will tackle recent innovations and developments in logistics and freight forwarding, latest trends in quality management control and supply chain management, among other topics.

Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco will be the welcome speaker on the 29th of May, while Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon will address the Gala Night on the 31st at the Casa Buenas in Hotel Okura.

This is the first time that the Philippines will host the annual event, made possible by Grandlink Freight International, the 26-year old freight forwarding company that is the only JCiLO member from the Philippines.

Myra Kierulf-Roldan, president of event organizer Merck-MLI Travel and Tours, said the Global Symposium will also include a pre-conference Hop On-Hop Off (HoHo) Manila heritage tour and a post-conference tour of Subic on the first of June.

The 8th Global Symposium of JCiLO delegates are excited to experience the Filipino brand of hospitality and service under the slogan MICE Philippines: We take your business to heart.
