A star-studded celebration marked the official christening of the Disney Adventure in Singapore, as Hollywood actor Robert Downey Jr. led the ceremonial blessing for the newest vessel of Disney Cruise Line.
Held inside the Walt Disney Theatre onboard the ship, the ceremony showcased a vibrant entertainment program celebrating Disney storytelling through music and performance. Guests were treated to a production featuring a 23-piece orchestra and musical performances by Filipino singer Jed Madela and international recording artist Dami Im, alongside appearances by beloved Disney characters Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse.
Disney executives, including Josh D’Amaro and Joe Schott, joined the ceremony celebrating the introduction of the cruise line’s newest ship.
Serving as the vessel’s Godparent, Downey Jr. delivered the traditional maritime blessing for the ship and its future guests.

The ‘Disney Adventure,’ the newest addition to the expanding Disney Cruise Line fleet and the first for families in Asia, arrived in Singapore for the first time on March 3, 2026, ahead of its maiden voyage.
“I christen thee, Disney Adventure, may God bless this ship and all who sail upon her,” he declared, officially marking the ship’s ceremonial launch.
The Disney Adventure represents a significant milestone for Disney Cruise Line as it becomes the company’s first ship to homeport in Asia, positioning Singapore as a key hub for regional cruise tourism. The ship will bring Disney’s signature blend of themed entertainment, storytelling, and family experiences to travelers across Southeast Asia.
With its arrival in Singapore, the Disney Adventure signals a growing intersection between tourism and entertainment, highlighting how immersive cruise experiences continue to attract travelers seeking both adventure and world-class entertainment at sea.
