Samsung calls on science high school students nationwide to drive meaningful change with Solve for Tomorrow, with over PHP 2 million worth of prizes to be awarded
Manila, Philippines — Samsung Philippines is bringing back its global innovation program, Solve for Tomorrow, to the Philippines this 2025, marking its 15th anniversary worldwide. With support from the Department of Education (DepEd), the program calls on Grades 8 to 10 students from government-managed Science High Schools nationwide to develop bold, tech-driven solutions to real-world challenges.
Now in its third year in the country, Solve for Tomorrow offers over ₱2 million worth of cash prizes and Samsung devices for winning schools, student teams, and teacher advisers.

Teams of up to four students and one teacher-adviser are invited to submit proposals under three themes:
- Environmental Sustainability through Technology – using STEM to reuse, recycle, and regenerate materials into high-value products.
- Social Change through Tech and Sport – harnessing sport and innovation for education, entrepreneurship, and inclusion.
- Solving Community Problems with AI – applying artificial intelligence to develop practical, community-focused solutions.
Proposals must be submitted by October 26, 2025, with the top 10 teams announced on November 11, 2025. Final presentations will be held on December 3, 2025, with winners awarded on December 9, 2025.
More Than ₱2 Million in Prizes
The Grand Prize winner will receive ₱500,000 worth of Samsung devices for their school, ₱250,000 worth of Samsung devices, ₱100,000 cash for the student team, and ₱30,000 cash for their teacher.
The Second Prize winner will receive ₱300,000 worth of Samsung devices for the school, ₱250,000 worth of Samsung devices, ₱70,000 cash for the team, and ₱25,000 cash for the teacher.
The Third Prize winner will receive ₱200,000 worth of Samsung devices for the school, ₱250,000 worth of Samsung devices, and ₱50,000 cash for the team, and ₱15,000 cash for the teacher.
The remaining teams in the top 10 will receive ₱15,000 cash for the students and ₱5,000 for their teacher.

Since its launch in 2010, Solve for Tomorrow has evolved into a global platform for young problem-solvers. For 15 years, it has equipped students with design thinking skills, hands-on innovation, and mentorship—guiding them to turn ideas into real-world solutions.
This year’s edition emphasizes the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI), alongside sustainability and social impact, as tools for the next generation of Filipino innovators to shape a better tomorrow.
